In Essentials Unity, In Non-Essentials Liberty, In All Things Charity

Within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) every local congregation

owns and governs its own property and programming. However, we are part

of a wider movement, http://disciples.org/. So, while each church is

governed by its local members, we have organized into clusters and Regions

to be able to support each other. We believe that because God has called

and equipped all believers, it is up to those believers to prayerfully answer

the call of Christ in the work of the church. Sometimes there are tensions in

not having a set answer to every question. This is why the centerpiece of

worship and our theological identity is the Lord’s Table. We all are striving to

grow into Christ’s way. We all yearn for the Good News. But, as we are

growing in the faith, it’s inevitable that sometimes there are tensions and

disagreements. As Disciples, we see the Table as a place for all who are

seeking Christ’s Truth, whether we agree about every detail or not. We may

not know every What, but together we know the most important Who.

We have been at our current church location on Kindler Avenue for 50 years.

We are excited about the new life that God is calling forth in our community.
